Presentation Feedback

There is no storyline/content in my project. I'm just presenting the idea with no content. What is the story? How is the game going to be like? What's the start, climax and ending of the game? What clues am i giving out?

What i have to do

Research more games then can help me write out the storyline of the game

New idea proposal

Software:- Metaio

This time i shall try augmented reality on a game type instead of scanning cards and etc. I was inspired by the horror puzzle game, SAW & Daylight. The design of this game is that the user will be trapped in a dark room and inside the room there are many markers, some are hidden and some are in obvious place. They have to scan them to get clues but only one of the clues is the right one for them to get out from the room. To make the game more interesting, some of the markers that they scan might set the trap on to scare them, for example girl crying/screaming, sound of the door opening and etc. Of course there is a time limit for them to beat.

idea proposal

Idea with Muse

Earth Hour

'
These 2 links are the inspiration for this idea:-
http://everylastdrop.co.uk/
http://makeyourmoneymatter.org/

Just a simple information about earth hour with 5 parallax page. The first page of the parallax would be the concept or the start of earth hour, then the 2nd page to the 5th page would be the information about Earth hour.

Idea with Metaio

1st idea - Wedding card or Invitation card.

Front cover of the card will be the invitation and the information of the wedding. The back side of the card will be an image tracking for people to track with their phone and there will be either:-

- A video of the couple dancing with music background and fade out then fade in again with them giving their greetings and invite the people to their wedding.

- A 3D version of the couple dancing instead of a video like my first idea. Inspired by the Hagen Daaz augmented reality commercial.

2nd idea:- Movie ticket

Movie ticket.

There will be an image tracking on the ticket where the user can scan and the theatre sitting layout will appear which indicates where is your sit since usually when people in a rush to their movie, the theatre will be dark and they cant see where exactly their sit is.

Introduction to Metaio creator! Augmented Reality

Today we were introduced to a new software called Metaio creator. It is a software technology and it provides augmented reality solutions. Mr.Muzamir today taught us just the basics of the software and plus the software is pretty straight forward. It was easy to understand and follow what he was teaching. This was a whole new experience for me and for the rest of the class. It was very interesting on how the software works. Here are some screenshots of today's lessons:-

Here are the 3 types of tracking that we can use based on what we want to do. Today's lesson we used image tracking where we use an image and track it metaio and apply some 3D model into it and it will appear on the paper when you preview it.

This is one of the example

You can add more than one 3D model onto the image

This is how it looked through the webcam

I really like this software, because for me it's different than the other 2 new softwares before. I hope to learn more about this software and be able to use it for future design work.

Introduction to Adobe Muse | Week 3 | Wednesday | 9th April 2014

Today was our introduction to Adobe Muse, which is way easier than using Adobe DreamWeaver in my opinion. Basically Muse have this little minions do the tedious work for you and the rest is simplified. Here are some screenshots of our exercise:-

Week 2 | Thursday | 3/4/2014

Thursday 3rd April 2014.

Today we learned how to use simple buttons to navigate to each pages that it was assigned to. This exercise was kind of straight forward but it was fun learning it.The second exercise that we did was called parallax scrolling, it's a concept where as the user scrolls through the pages there'll be animation for every page. This was quite new for me and i'm really loving the effect. We did a simple parallax exercise as we scroll through, words will appear. It was a simple one. As for the last exercise, we did a simple drag & drop exactly like what we did for our games design last semester and the codings was set but we just have to know which i dont quite fully understand which is which. I'll have to search more for tutorials so i can get more familiar with it!

Introduction to Adobe Edge Animate

Wednesday, 2nd April 2014.

Today was our first day of exercise for Experiential design. It was an introduction day to this new software, Adobe Edge Animate. At first i was blank when looking at it, but with Mr.Muzamir's guidance, we all gradually start to understand how the software works. It's basically like Adobe Flash, after effects & dreamweaver combined. The software allows us to preview our work on a web browser just like in dreamweaver, a timeline feature with diamond shape icon to mark your keyframe just like in After Effects and the coding aspects are similar to Flash but simplified version because it's given there and you just have to click it and the codes will be automatically be there. Here are some screenshot of what we did in class:-
